BC Council for Families

The keynote speaker at this year's BC Council for Families Annual General Meeting will be Joanne Schroeder, Provincial Community Development Manager for the Human Early Learning Partnership and lead author of Communities For Children: A Toolkit for Action.

Joanne will be examining the evidence and implications of rising levels of childhood vulnerability in this province, within a context of service cuts. And she'll be discussing the important roles we can all play to make change happen -- for children, for families, and for communities.

Also on the agenda -- the presentation of the annual Distinguished Service to Families Award. One organization and one individual will be awarded the 2010 Distinguished Service Award for their leadership and achievements on behalf of BC families.
