Become a trained Nobody's Perfect facilitator.
You'll take part in an engaging, interactive four-day training session packed with information, discussion, and activities. You'll learn practical, evidence-based methods of supporting parents with young children. And you'll make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
About the Training and Certification Program
The Nobody's Perfect four-day training program is specifically designed to ensure that participants gain the knowledge and skills to successfully deliver the Nobody’s Perfect program, and the tools and information they need to effectively promote the program to parents in communities throughout BC.
Following the training program and your successful completion of a Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program session co-delivered with an experienced facilitator, you will receive your official certification as a fully qualified Nobody's Perfect facilitator.
Please note: You must co-facilitate your first Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program within one year of completion of the training workshop in order to qualify for certification.
Who is the training for?
The Nobody's Perfect facilitator training is specifically designed for practitioners with previous experience and/or education in facilitating groups and working with children, youth and families.
You will be:
- comfortable with the basic principles of adult education
- currently employed or volunteering at a multi-service agency or family support organization
- passionate about supporting families in all their diversity

- a thorough knowledge of Nobody's Perfect program objectives and materials
- an increased awareness of the principles of adult education
- enhanced skills in assessing the needs of parent groups
- ability to plan and direct program sessions
- enriched practical facilitation skills
Following Certification:
Professional education with the BC Council for Families doesn't end when you complete a training session. You'll become part of a community of fellow facilitators, parent educators and trainers access an increasing array of tools and resources to support your work with parents and families receive ongoing professional support and information.
