The Province of British Columbia Proclaims National Family Week

Vancouver, BC, October 3, 2011 -- The BC Council for Families is pleased to announce that the Province of British Columbia has proclaimed that October 3 - 9, 2011 shall be known as National Family Week in BC.

Vancouver, BC, June 13, 2011 -- Making a difference for families takes vision, creativity, leadership and determination. At the BC Council for Families, we have a name for people with those qualities: Family Champions. And to celebrate their accomplishments, each year we award the Distinguished Service to Families Award to two Family Champions in BC.

It's time again for the BC Council for Families' Distinguished Service to Families Awards, and we're asking you -- our members and supporters -- to tell us about the hardworking family champions in your communities!

This year, we're focusing particularly on individuals and organizations supporting the needs of youth.
