Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program facilitators, please note the following request:
Until further notice, Nobody’s Perfect facilitators are asked to remove the Safety booklet from the Parenting Kits and to discontinue distributing the Safety booklet to parents.
Some information provided in the Safety booklet does not reflect current safety regulations and standards. At a 2009 national meeting and in a separate needs assessment, it was agreed that, until the Safety booklet is revised, facilitators in all provinces and regions would be asked to remove the booklet from the package. Instead, facilitators are asked to provide program participants with alternative resources, such as pamphlets and flyers printed from various electronic sources.
The Public Health Agency of Canada, in consultation with Nobody’s Perfect provincial coordinators from across Canada, has compiled a list of resources that facilitators can supply to parents as an alternative to the Safety booklet.
