BC Council for Families

Program Overview

FamiliesNobody's Perfect is designed to be responsive to the needs of parents.
The atmosphere is relaxed, allowing parents to share and learn in a supportive and supported environment. Typically co-facilitated by two trained facilitators, sessions are around two hours long and are offered weekly over a period of six to eight weeks.

Because Nobody's Perfect is tailored to meet the needs of individual groups, there is no one specific look for a Nobody's Perfect program.

Most individual groups are designed for parents with babies and children up to the age of five who meet two of the following criteria:

  • Young (under 25 years of age)
  • Single parent
  • Low income
  • Lacking in formal education and/or parenting skills
  • Isolated socially, geographically or linguistically

The host agency normally provides participating parents with transportation, childcare and refreshments. Resource materials are provided to parents at no cost.
